If you are looking for great woodturning lessons, I recommend the John C Campbell Folk School for great woodturning lessons. You will learn a lot and you’ll have a fun vacation at the same time. Inspired by the 19th century Danish folk school model, the school is Located in Brasstown, NC. They offer year-round weeklong and weekend classes for adults in craft, art, music, dance, and more my wife and I both attended at the same time.
On our particular week Linda enjoyed a quilting while I learned several new woodturning techniques from Andy Gunning.
You will enjoy Morning Song at 7:45 a.m. in the historic Keith House Community Room. This Danish custom of singing, folklore, and camaraderie will bring you friendly faces sharing songs, stories, and history each day.
Fill your evenings with dance and music performances, readings by student and visiting writers, storytellers, and other special programming.
We stayed in our own small cabin on the property and had all our meals in the common dining area, with entertainment every night.
